Preston, along with all the other responsibilities that he has, is also the mascot for the Safford Bulldogs. He shares this position with another student. He usually works the first half of games and then the second half he takes off to become the photographer for the local newspaper.
For the home coming game, he was offered the chance to fly in on the medivac helicopter from Safford. He got to fly for about twenty minutes before landing on the football field. After getting the crowd excited, he handed over the game ball to the official.
This game was against Globe. Safford defeated Globe with no problem.
