Greg had been watching OCC on the Discovery Channel for several years. When you got the opportunity to take the family to tempe and see them in person, we jumped on the idea.
We went to Phoenix the night before and got a hotel south of Phoenix. The next morning, we knew we were eary so we thought we would go to the Arizona Cardinals Stadium and see how progress was going on the new stadium. Lucky we did this because the timing was perfect as we arrived back in Tempe.
As we exited the freeway, we noticed the police blocking off Priest Drive. I didn't want to get stuck so I sped thorugh the intersection. As we were heading to the occ event, I looked back in my rear view mirror and saw what looked like 1000 motorcycles coming behind us. We were first in line at the next street light as we stopped for the red. I started looking in my rear view mirror and that's when I saw Paul Tuttle. I told Susan to get the camera and video and start taking shots. Sure enough, we were in the motorcycle escort for OCC. We actually drove with them for at least two miles. As we drove, all of the main guys from OCC kept passing us. It was a blast.
