We left Safford Early on Saturday assuming that the opening of the new Arizona Cardinals Stadium would be packed. Arriving almost 2 1/2 hours early, it really wasn't that bad. We were able to park about 50 yards from the front entrance and the wait outside was just a little bit warm.

Greg's dad had also traveled to the stadium and was even closer to the front of the line so Susan and I just butted ourselves right in with him.

As soon as the doors opened, everyone outside felt the cool air and it was such a relief.

We walked around for awhile, got some food, and sat down to enjoy the new stadium. Cardinals won against the Super Bowl champs and it made us feel good to get the first touchdown and win for the new stadium

My dad, Randall, is in the middle with his friend Dick on the left of him.
