By 10:30 a.m. we arrived at the IMAX theater at Arizona Mills Mall. Everyone was anxious to move inside and get settled in for Beauty and the Beast.

From left to right: Janelle, Amanda, Audra, Analyse, Chelsy, Brooklyn, Brianna, Carli, and Preston.

Once inside, the birthday package included popcorn and soda from each kid.

Movie popcorn is always a great snack and was especially good as we waited to be seated inside the theater.

Brooklyn was really surprised when she saw Grandma Seal who drove down to meet us in Phoenix for the party.

As a special treat, we were taken upstairs to see the IMAX projector and the huge IMAX movies that were on reels more than 3 feet across.

Once seated, the anticipation built as the girls saw the 6-story screen.

That anticipation was lengthened as the movie experienced technical problems and was delayed over twenty minutes. Everyone remained patient though and soon the lights when down and Beauty and the Beast began . . .

. . . everyone, except mom who was worried because now we didn't have time for lunch at the park. After waiting for the movie to be restarted, she was even more upset when the movie and sound were not on track. After complaining to the manager, mom ended up with refunds for all of the tickets as well as free passes to come back to IMAX for the inconvenience. Despite the problems, the kids all still enjoyed the movie.
