Animal Kingdom and MGM

Click here to visit Animal Kingdom which is the continuation of this day.

We left Animal Kingdom mid day to see MGM Studios. Grandpa, Susan and the kids enjoyed the Great Movie Ride while Greg ran to get a Fast Pass for Tower of Terror so we could avoid the long lines.
The Green Army Man from Toy Story showed Preston and Brooklyn how to salute after stamping their autograph books with his official, green army man stamp.
A highlight of the Back Lot Tour was seeing the plane they used to film Armageddon, one of Preston's favorite movies.
While we knew Tower of Terror featured a thirteen story elevator drop, the ride had changed as it took you back up two more times and dropped you again. This was an unexpected surprise and made the ride even more fun. Preston managed to keep his hands up, even sitting up front with Grandpa.
Doug, a favorite cartoon of Preston and Brooklyn's, had his own stage show. It provided a nice, air-conditioned break for us and the kids sat on the edge of their seats through the musical production. Brooklyn said it was her favorite thing about the whole vacation.
Preston literally bites his nails as he watches another one of his favorites, the Indiana Jones Stunt Show.
Finally finding a roller coaster where both Preston and Brooklyn met the height requirement meant we could go as a family. This was their first looping roller coaster and though he was hesitant at first, Preston loved it when it was over. Brooklyn rode with Grandpa while Preston, Susan and Greg rode in a different car.
