Animal Kingdom and MGM

Second only to Blizzard Beach, Animal Kingdom is Preston's second favorite place in Florida. Dressed in his Safari outfit, Preston was prepared to show Grandpa all of his favorite rides on this Thursday morning.
Dad headed to the dinosaur ride to take advantage of the Fast Pass system, something we have come to love. On the way to Dino Land we stopped to meet Tigger and get his autograph.
Dino Land is always the first place we head when we go to Animal Kingdom. Besides a great fort playground, and an awesome dinosaur ride, digging up dinosaur bones is always the best part for the kids. This year Grandpa made it extra special by helping them each find hidden dollar bills in the sand.
Just as "The BIG ONE" appears, Preston's head goes down as he tries to hold on and cover his ears using his arms. Though this dino ride is exciting, it is also very loud and dark, a little much for Preston. Notice brave little Brooklyn isn't even holding on!
Despite it being the middle of the day, the Safari ride was full of animals. We probably saw more animals on this ride than any of the other times we had been on the ride.

The Lion King Festival was new for us. We enjoyed this stage show very much. It is one of the best we have seen. Full of colorful costumes, great acrobatics, and good music, the celebration of the Lion King was excellent.
The Tree of Life dominates not only Animal Kingdom, but we saw it above all of the other trees when we were at Blizzard Beach on Tuesday. The tree has over 300 animals carved in its roots and on its trunk. Underneath the tree, Brooklyn loved the 3-D show It's Tough to be a Bug.
