Besides coming up with great birthday themes, designing the invitation is always a challenge. For the great make-over party, what would be more fitting than a fashion magazine cover. Greg came up with the idea and with the helpful suggestion of Brooklyn's first grade teacher, Mrs. Elders, Seventeen magazine became Seven and a model was born.

.

What could be more fun when turning seven than a Marvelous Make-Over Party transforming you and your friends from little girls into fairy tale princesses? After years of Barbie birthday parties, Brooklyn was up for something different, but still wanted her seventh birthday party to involve being pretty and pink. With the help of Debbie John of Priority One Salon, mom began planning the great extravaganza.

The Marvelous Make-Over party was scheduled for February 17, 2001. Nine of Brooklyn's closest friends were invited to join her at the salon with clean, unstyled hair, dressed in their prettiest party dresses and ready for their first-ever make-over. Reluctantly leaving their little girls, moms and dads were amazed at the transformation when they saw their daughters in the Fashion Show at Callie's Ice Cream Parlor following the make-overs.

In two hours the make-overs were complete with each girl getting a unique hair style, makeup, fingernails polished, and of course, lots of lip stick. These beautiful princesses walked across the street to Callie's where their parent joined them. They watched Brooklyn open presents, ate pizza, and enjoyed a Barbie birthday cake. Soon after, the fashion show began. Big brother Preston had anxiously waited to play his part in the great event. Dressed in his finest suit complete with boutonniere, Preston promenaded each of the ten girls around the restaurant and down the center runway showing off their new do's. Though some of the girls were Hesitant about holding "a boy's" arm, they all looked great putting on a fabulous Fashion Show for their parents.
