Arriving Back Home...

This is the most dreaded day of the trip. It takes us two days to travel and get on the ship, yet going home always takes just one day. Two days that we have to pack into one day.

However, it's also a good feeling to know we are going home and we'll soon be in our comfortable beds. As for Greg, he knows he will soon be spending time designing the web site to share the adventure to the Panama Canal.

After a good nights sleep, the sun is shining in and we are already docked in Ft. Lauderdale. The kids refuse to get up and get dressed. The night before is when you complete your packing and give up the suit cases.

After our final breakfast on board, our section is called for departing the ship and we go outside to flat down the Alamo Car Rental bus to take us back to the airport.

As we pass over Dallas, Texas, we are only 788 miles from home and travelling 520 miles an hour to Phoenix. Once in Phoenix, another three hour drive to get home.

Susan is already planning on her Palm Pilot what work needs to be done when she gets back to work. It doesn't take long to get back into the swings of things and not think about the vacation.

Preston enjoys a last minute snack that he had taken off the cruise ship.
Before we had even booked this cruise, we knew we would again be back on a Carnival ship with our Friends the Browns.

We have travelled with the Browns before to Orlando and had spend a year in the planning to sail out of New Orleans on the Carnival Conquest to the Western Caribbean.

This was a fantastic last minute cruise.
